Kevin Newman II was introduced to boxing at 4 years old by his father and his mother bought him his first pair of gloves that year. At 9 years old, he started learning how to box with Jeff Mayweather in Las Vegas. He stopped but then resumed again at 16 once Jeff moved back to Vegas from Florida. Newman has won state and regional Golden Glove titles at middleweight won state and regional USA boxing titles. He won the Ringside World Championships in 2013 and the WBA-NABA super middleweight title on September 3, 2022. Newman was signed to Mayweather promotions from 2014 to 2020 and made his pro debut on Mayweather vs Madiana 2. He fought his 8th professional fight on Mayweather vs Mcgregor. He is trained by Roy Jones Jr.
