Bio

Jonibek Khotamov was born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. He came to the U.S. when he was 10 years old and had a difficult time getting along with the kids in school. He was a bit of a troublemaker, fighting in and out of school a lot. In middle school for career day, Teddy Atlas, Mike Tyson's former trainer, came in to talk to the kids. The teachers told him to put some sense into me. He had a free program for kids to train and compete in boxing, which Khotamov desperately wanted to join as Mike Tyson was his favorite fighter. In his first year of boxing, he made it to the National Silver Gloves and Regional Junior Olympics where he fought top fighters like Shakur Stevenson. He won the NYC Golden Gloves twice. Khotamov's professional record is 2 wins 0 losses: 2 wins by knockout, both in the 1st round. With many more victories to come, he believes he will definitely leave a legacy in the world of boxing.
