Bio

Israel Taylor was born in St. Louis but was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He trains at Pound4Pound under the guidance of his coach, Richard Barrientes. His journey in boxing began at the age of eight, though he temporarily paused it at 13 due to family issues, transitioning to a career as a barber. Currently, he has barber licenses in both Nevada and Arizona.

At 16, Israel began boxing again and has since dedicated himself to the sport. He's had around 20 amateur fights with 3 pro-am bouts and turned pro last April. He's now 1-0 as a professional and has been in camp alongside fighters such as Mario Barrios, Hector Garcia, Robert Guerrero, and a handful of up-and-comers. Israel says, "Whatever a fighter is good at, I can take away from you. If you’re a brawler, I make you box. If you’re a boxer, I make you brawl. This versatility characterizes my style. My resilience and adaptability are my biggest attributes." He explains that his biggest motivation is "the boxer I could’ve been if I never stopped boxing... I’m constantly in competition with that version of me on a hypothetical pinnacle. I have to reach my fullest potential if that’s the last thing I do in life." He is eager to showcase his skills on TCL.
