Bio
Cobia “Soldier” Breedy began boxing at the age of 12. Before his boxing career, he endured three years in the Barbados Defense Force, hence the name “Soldier”. After spending 15 years as an amateur boxer and competing in over 110 amateur fights, Cobia met his now coach, Floyd Seymour, in India back in 2010, while he was competing in the Commonwealth Games for Barbados. They forged a bond at the World Games in Azerbaijan in 2011 and decided that Breedy would come to America to pursue his professional career as a boxer. His grandfather was a professional boxer in Barbados, followed by his father, who was a national champion, his younger brother who is now leading Barbados as the 2020 Olympic hopeful, and now Breedy, AKA “Soldier”. Keeping the aspiration to be a world champion throughout his boxing career, the sport has granted Cobia the opportunity to travel to countless countries. Breedy is currently 15-1 and looking forward to his next bout!
